My vision as of right now is pretty cloudy but in time I hope it becomes as clear as a bright sunny day. It’s rare that you meet someone who achieves their goal easily without working for it but it happens. I know that it won’t be easy and I intend to be working towards all my goals for a long time.
1. I’m majoring in Accounting and after my undergrad I plan on pursuing my Masters in Accounting.
I’ve already started my track to achieve this goal. I have already registered to take my GMAT next year.
2. My ultimate goal is to have a full-time position upon graduation. This is not easy but very doable.
I fortunately have one foot in the door already because I’m an intern at Ernst & Young. Being an intern at Ernst & Young I do not take for granted. This internship is the one thing that keeps my vision afloat in these hard times we are facing. Full-time positions are hard to find now that the country is in this financial crisis, especially when you are coming right out of college.
3. I hope to own my own house. I plan on owning a two family house that way I can have my aunt live in the other floor of the house instead of where she lives now. This has been a dream of mine for a very long time and I’ve promised my aunt that I would do everything in my power to do it.
I know this goal is hard but I plan on keeping my promise. I need to graduate, get a good job, make a good salary, and be very smart with my money. I believe that doing these four things will help me achieve this goal.

Angel,
I think your plan is not foggy at all. You are very clear on what you what to accomplish and considering that you already have an internship with a large accounting firm you are moving towards your goals. Also, I think it's really great that you are doing all this not only for your own prosperity but also to help your family. I am sure that on those days when you are too tired to want anything and you feel like you are about to quit, your promise to your aunt keeps you going.
I agree with the 4 things you mentioned in your last paragraph. I have a similar goal and I think we both need to do those things to achieve it. I'm also envious that you have an internship! you're one step closer to achieving our dream!
Good job with the internship cant even explain how important they truly are!!! Having a job upon graduation is something im sure you are more than capable of!! I dont think you have any thing to worry about the road may be a little rough along the way but if I have learned anything in the past couple of years its to keep your head and your hopes high and your ambition higher and you can achieve ANYTHING you put your mind too!!
hi angel,
i think your plan for the future is very clear and so far the best i read. Its people like you who keep the competitive edge up in Baruch, which is a good thing. Afterall, Baruch is ranked the top 10% under Princeton Rankings. I don't mind competetion if all is playing a fair game. You said you are working hard onto your dream, I apprecaite competietion when evryone is wokring hard and its all about that. Good Luck, and hope you succeed!!!
